Tiny "+ -" Augis Love charm on chain, 18K

The Ultimate Love icon from the master jeweler Augis (signed) in a tiny and discrete version of 12mm. Attached to a dainty chain that is 18.3" / 46.5 cm long and 1mm wide in tiny flat curb links. All in 18K and with full French hallmarks both to the chain and to the charm. It is in excellent vintage condition with next to no wear.
 
The plus and the minus sign referencing the famous French poem "Eternal Song" by Rosemonde Gérard. The plus sign symbolizing the line: “more (than yesterday), and the minus sign symbolizing the line: “less (than tomorrow)”. 
“For, you see
,each day I love you more,
today more than yesterday
and less than tomorrow.” 
This beautiful passage, written by Rosemonde Gerard in 1889, is from the poem she wrote for her husband celebrating their love. The French Jeweler Alphonse Augis immortalized the poem by putting it into his "Medallion of Love" design in 1907 which he continued to elaborate on during the century. And this is a tiny version of his famous medal!
