Victorian Pool of Light lockets (see price at drop down)
There is something almost magical about a Pool of Light locket. Made with domed rock crystal, the stones catch and gather the surrounding light, creating the beautiful luminous effect that gave these little lockets their name.
-
They were especially popular in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, often holding a tiny photograph, lock of hair or other treasured keepsake.
-
These two examples are wonderfully simple versions of the style, each with its own character. Crystal has long been associated with clarity, light and protection, a fitting little vessel for something precious.
