Pendant: Very old French Wedding clasp, 18K

This is a more than 200-year-old French sentiment jewel which design was in use in Normany and Paris in the 19th century. It has a super detailed front with a pansy to the center and the words “A MOI” below. Used as a word play on the French word for pansy (pensée) which also means “think” and the A MOI translates to “at me”.
 
Hallmarked with the Rooster for small gold pieces: Paris 1809-1819.
 
We’ve added an 18K bale to the existing opening so it can be used as a pendant. The clasp function is still intact.
