Gilet, authentic 1978 Bjorn Wiinblad Fabric

One-of-a-kind quilted gilet made from an authentic and super rare 1978 Bjorn Wiinblad bedsheet, featuring his wonderfully whimsical Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare) illustrations. Soft as butter after hundreds of washes, in a dreamy palette of green and yellow on white, finished with crisp white bias binding. Great for layering!

Materials:

• Upcycled: Authentic Bjørn Wiinblad bedsheet, 100% cotton.

• New: 100% cotton batting, thread, white cotton bias binding.
  

Quilted with all-cotton batting for a soft, lightly padded feel and natural breathability.

Size & Measurements (taken flat on one side):

• Suggested size: M-XL depending on desired fit

• Length: 61 cm / 24 inches

• Chest (armpit to armpit): 54 cm / 21.3 inches

Condition & Disclaimer:

The original fabric is beautifully soft and has been given a new life as a brand-new, never-worn gilet. As a handmade piece crafted from vintage textiles, please expect minor imperfections in the fabric and craftsmanship, little reminders of its previous life and part of what makes each piece unique.

Care Instructions:

Machine wash at 40°C (104°F) on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
