English Silver Jubilee Bangle, 1977

A beautifully engraved English silver bangle made by the Birmingham silversmiths Rigby & Wilson in 1977. The floral engraving is paired with a charming row of heraldic motifs, giving the piece a lovely balance of decoration and history.

The 1977 Silver Jubilee hallmark makes this bangle particularly special. The Queen’s profile was an optional commemorative mark used specifically to celebrate 25 years of Elizabeth II’s reign, so it was not part of the standard silver hallmark. It is a lovely little piece of British history in its own right.
