Antique French diamond cluster ring, 18K
A graceful antique French beauty. This elegant cluster ring is full of old-world sparkle, centred by a transitional (early brilliant) cut diamond of approx. 0.65 ct, surrounded by ten smaller old cut stones in a soft oval halo.
The top is crafted in either 18K white gold or platinum (tests ok for both), giving the diamonds that lovely bright contrast so typical of workmanship from the era. Together they total approx. 0.95 ct and create a luminous, flattering spread across the finger.
Several faded hallmarks remain on the outer side of the shank, confirming its French origin.
